Whether you like or agree with Clarkson . Big mistake getting rid of him ,he is a knob but makes consistently good tele the world loves. He is the ultimate guilty pleasure, he ain't the first idiot to punch someone ,christ Gerrard got away with punching a barman when we all saw it.film stars ,models and actors do it all the time . Ridiculous mess. Get rid of the program all together ,they do plenty of road trips with comedians that are good . Licence payers in general could not care as it was not the best but always very watchabLe tv on a Sunday ,but sometimes gold. Big mistake

Nerd, the big mistake was not getting rid of Clarkson, because after he lamped someone the BBC were left with no option. Clarkson made the big mistake.
Clearly the mistake the BBC have made is in not consulting infidel to find out who would be an apt replacement. Top Gear is Clarkson and without him it simply is not the same programme.

Clarkson can still make programmes. He can can still be on the BBC if he wants to. He was only sacked from Top Gear. you can watch those if you want.
Him and the others two millionaire Everyman will soon have a pass off show on Netflix. You can watch it if you want.
Top Gear will come back with new presenters and you can watch it or not.
I really don't see what tabloid people are pretending to be upset about, it's only TV.
